Deleterious Material Sites with HEIC

A construction vehicle, a soil compactor, is efficiently operating on a dirt road at the HEIC site. It is flattening the surface near a pile of soil while ensuring no deleterious material affects its progress. Trees and a metal fence line the side of the road.

One primary concern with deleterious materials is their containment. HEIC plays a pivotal role here, compacting the soil to form a denser barrier.

Tuas Terminal Phase 1

Two tractors work diligently on leveling a large, muddy field at Tuas Terminal, Phase 1, with the looming industrial complex in the background. The buildings have chimneys and industrial structures, evoking a factory setting. An overcast sky lends a muted tone to the scene.

Tuas Terminal Phase 1 (TTP1), an ambitious initiative by the Singapore government, aims to consolidate its world-class container port facilities.

Moin Container Terminal

A tractor drives across a large, barren construction site resembling a future terminal, with numerous cranes in the background under a cloudy sky. The ground appears leveled and sandy, indicating early stages of construction work at what could soon be Moin's bustling hub.

The expansion of Moin Container Terminal in Limon, Costa Rica, crucial for handling 80% of the country’s freight, involved developing a 40Ha reclaimed area with dredged sand fill.

London Gateway

Aerial view of the London Gateway, showcasing a bustling port with numerous shipping containers neatly organized in rows. Adjacent areas display bright green and yellow overlays indicating varying levels of logistics activity or vegetation. Industrial buildings and tanks loom in the background.

The London Gateway project, a major deep-sea container port in Essex, UK, involved extensive land reclamation using dredged fill.

Jebel Ali Port

A construction site at Jebel Ali Port showcases a vast expanse covered with black tarp or liner, surrounded by earth-moving equipment and vehicles. In the background, various construction materials and temporary structures are visible, highlighting the dynamic development in the area.

The Jebel Ali Port expansion in Dubai entailed reclamation behind Quay 4 and Berth 21, requiring the backfilling of dredged marine sands to a depth of 16m.

Port Tanger Project

A large green tractor with yellow wheels is parked on a construction site under a cloudy sky. Two workers wearing hard hats and safety vests stand next to it, alongside a yellow cylindrical roller attachment, as they progress the Port Tanger development.

The Tanger MED 2 project, essential for the construction of a new container terminal in Morocco, required substantial dredging and backfilling over a 140ha area.

Kooragang Island Coal Export Terminal

A large construction vehicle moves over a sandy surface at a construction site on Kooragang Island. In the background, there is a yellow crane, mounds of dirt, and an industrial terminal under a clear blue sky.

The expansion of the Kooragang Island Coal Export Terminal, aimed at increasing coal throughput to 30 Mtpa, involved substantial dredging and reclamation efforts.

Chek Lap Kok Airport

A yellow steamroller compacts sandy terrain under a blue sky near Hong Kong Airport. Two additional yellow construction vehicles are visible in the background on a raised portion of the landscape.

Through Landpac’s expertise in HEIC, Chek Lap Kok Airport successfully addressed its soil compaction and stability challenges, laying a robust foundation for its infrastructure.
